Lithuanian restaurant chain expanding to Dubai and Poland

Lithuania’s lunchtime iLunch chain has announced major expansion plans for 2025, including an agreement to open a venue in Dubai that was reached in December. A company will be launched in Poland to deal with the chain’s expansion in that country, the Verslo Zinios business newspaper reported on Friday.

The new Dubai restaurant will be open by mid-year in the CommerCity business complex near the Dubai International Airport. The restaurant will be franchised with a planned investment of around EUR 500,000.

“Our expectation is to continue our steps toward further global expansion,” says Donatas Vaitasius, executive director of iLunch restaurants. “We’re looking at the entire region of Kuwait, Oman and Qatar, and we’re setting up a presence in Poland, where we are in the final stages of negotiating lease agreements. 2025 will be our year for international expansion, and we are moving beyond the Baltic States.”

There are 33 iLunch restaurants in Lithuania and one in Riga. A franchise agreement has been concluded in Estonia, where suitable premises are being sought at this time.
