Ukrainian travel agency increasing flight frequency

The Ukrainian travel agency Join UP! Baltic has announced an increase in flight frequency along a new charter route between Palanga Airport in western Lithuania and the Turkish resort of Antalya, Lithuanian Airports (LTOU) said on Monday.

The new route is set to launch on April 16 with flights twice a week until May and then again in September and October. From May until August, as well as in November, there will be three flights per week.

LTOU announced last December that Join UP! Baltic was planning weekly flights from Vilnius to Antalya, but the company’s CEO, Aurimas Janusauskas, said that more flights were added because of a high level of demand.

“Demand for trips to Antalya was high, so we tripled the number of flights from Palanga,” Janusauskas said in a news release on Monday. “The first flight was completely sold out as early as December, which shows that there is great interest in this route.”

In September, Join UP! Baltic will also offer charter flights from Palanga to Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, and that will continue throughout the winter season.
