Bolt, Eleport launch electric vehicle charging loyalty program

Estonian mobility provider Bolt and developer of electric car charging networks Eleport have expanded their partnership and launched on Friday a loyalty program for ride-sharing service drivers who use electric vehicles.

The cooperation between Bolt and Eleport aims to support the transition from fossil fuels to electric vehicles. The loyalty program has initially been launched in Estonia, with plans to expand to other Baltic countries soon.

Under the loyalty program, all electric vehicle drivers and fleet owners using the Bolt ride-sharing platform can obtain a pre-activated Eleport discount card, which offers discounts for high-power charging.

Oscar Room, Bolt’s ride service manager, emphasized the importance of supporting the transition to electric vehicles.

“Based on feedback from drivers, we know that a successful transition to electric vehicles depends on drivers’ trust in electric cars, especially regarding charging accessibility and battery durability. Our cooperation with Eleport allows us to alleviate the concerns of partner drivers,” Room said.

Raul Potisepp, CEO of Eleport, noted that the charging network in the Baltic states is behind the rest of Europe in terms of modernity and coverage.

“We want to change the situation and therefore see Bolt as a good partner, who is also interested in developing the charging infrastructure,” he noted. “Today, Eleport has over 550 public charging stations in the Baltics and Poland, and we have ambitious plans to expand this by another 800 charging stations by 2024, investing more than 20 million euros.”
