Lithuanian retail sales lower than EU average in March

Lithuania experienced retail sales growth in March that was below the EU average when compared to the same month in 2024, according to the latest Eurostat figures, which were released on Wednesday.

Retail sales inched up 0.1% year on year, while they dropped by 0.7% in Latvia and rose by 1.5% in Estonia. This was compared to an average increase of 1.4% across the European Union.

Month on month, retail sales increased by 0.9% in Lithuania, declined 0.2% in Latvia, and diminished by 1.3% in Estonia. Across the EU, sales edged down by 0.1%.
