The air temperature in Latvia will gradually rise in the coming days and will exceed +20 degrees C at the beginning of next week, according to current weather forecasts.
On Thursday, the weather will be mostly cloudy and rainy, with heavier rain in the eastern part of the country. Night and day temperatures are expected to be between +3 and +9 degrees C.
On Friday, a cyclone will move northwards from Ukraine, but associated precipitation is likely to remain in eastern Latvia. The weekend is expected to be sunny, with light winds and a chance of brief showers and thunderstorms.
Overnight temperatures will drop to freezing in places, with warmer days and temperatures in the south of the country expected to reach +20 degrees C on Sunday afternoon.
Temperatures are forecast to rise to +19…+24 degrees C early next week, with cooler weather along parts of the coast.
