From 17 September to 17 December 2026, BODIES Evolution, one of the world’s best-known educational exhibitions dedicated to the human body, is on display at Teika Plaza (Brīvības gatve 201, Riga). Over the years, the exhibition has been presented in numerous countries and has attracted more than 30 million visitors, becoming one of the largest international exhibition projects dedicated to anatomy and science outreach.
The exhibition offers visitors a journey inside the human body, revealing what is normally hidden from view.
“BODIES Evolution features eight complete plastinated human bodies, as well as a wide range of anatomical specimens that allow visitors to explore the abdominal cavity, reproductive system, heart, skull and muscles in greater detail,” says exhibition producer Gabriel Rios (Portugal). “The exhibition provides a valuable opportunity to learn about the human body and how it functions in an accessible and engaging way. Another important idea behind the exhibition is to help visitors understand how fragile the human body is and recognise the importance of taking care of our health from an early age.”
Scientific accuracy, an accessible approach and a contemporary exhibition format have made BODIES Evolution one of the most recognised international exhibition projects dedicated to the human body. Its combination of educational value and visual impact appeals both to specialists and to a broad audience.
