At the convention of the Estonia 200 party in Tallinn on Sunday, Minister of Foreign Affairs and head of the party’s government delegation Margus Tsahkna was elected as new leader of the party.
During the voting at the party’s general assembly, Tsahkna garnered the support of 112 party members, while the other candidate vying for the party’s top post, Arko Okk, was backed by 14 voters.
Tsahkna said that he prioritizes championing significant raises for teachers, bolstering businesses that drive exports, and vigilantly safeguarding Estonia’s interests on the global stage to solidify national security.
A total of 133 ballots were issued, of which 131 made it into the ballot box, with five of them being spoiled.
