DPD Lithuania announces new investment plans

DPD Lithuania, which is part of the French parcel delivery group Geopost, is planning to invest EUR 0.8 million in the expansion of its network of parcel lockers this year. The plan is to install 25 new lockers and to expand 15 others, the company said on Thursday.

“By continuously strengthening our network of parcel lockers in Lithuania and throughout the Baltic countries, we are seeking to ensure that our domestic and international parcel delivery services are available even in the most remote areas of each country,” says Gabrielius Bilevicius, director of sales and marketing for the Baltic States for DPD Lithuania.

This year the company’s focus will be on an expansion of its network it major cities, district centres and towns.

Last year DPD installed 79, 44 and 40 new parcel lockers in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia respectively.  This brought the total of lockers in the three countries to 400, 345 and 340.
