How AI is reshaping the workforce: insights from SOFTSWISS

Denis Romanovskiy, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO

SOFTSWISS, an international tech brand with its partner’s development centres in Warsaw and Poznań, has strengthened its long-term technology strategy by appointing Denis Romanovskiy as its first Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO). The newly created C-suite role formalises the company’s approach to artificial intelligence as a core element of its business infrastructure, reflecting the growing impact of AI on enterprise technology, productivity, and competitive differentiation.

With engineering teams contributing to SOFTSWISS products from its partner development centres in Poland, the appointment marks a new stage in how the company builds internal platforms and tooling – supporting consistent standards, stronger governance, and a more efficient engineering environment across locations. This includes helping teams adopt AI as part of their daily workflows and building internal capabilities around AI-enabled productivity.

As AI becomes embedded across industries, companies are seeing new responsibilities appear at the intersection of technology, operations, and governance, while existing roles evolve to include AI-assisted decision-making and automation. SOFTSWISS sees this shift first-hand and treats AI enablement as both a technology and a people transformation, including those working on the company’s software in development centres.

Romanovskiy assumes the CAIO position after more than five years as Deputy Chief Technology Officer at SOFTSWISS, where he played a central role in scaling the brand’s technology platforms and expanding its engineering capabilities. Before joining SOFTSWISS, he held senior development and leadership roles at EPAM Systems and Wargaming.net, building extensive expertise in enterprise software, large-scale platforms, and high-performance product environments.

As Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer, Romanovskiy will be responsible for shaping and executing SOFTSWISS’ AI strategy and leading the rollout of the company’s AI platform – a centralised, enterprise-grade infrastructure designed to securely and efficiently scale AI automation across the organisation. Acting as a foundational infrastructure layer, the platform connects AI capabilities with corporate tools, systems, and data. It enables teams to automate thousands of workflows, analyse large volumes of data, and accelerate decision-making, while ensuring strict access control, full auditability, and transparent cost management.

Ivan Montik, Founder of SOFTSWISS, commented:

“The creation of the Chief AI Officer role is a reflection of how critical artificial intelligence has become to the future of technology. AI is transforming how we build products, how businesses operate and how value is created. By investing early in a unified AI platform and dedicated leadership, SOFTSWISS is positioning itself at the forefront of this shift.”

Denis Romanovskiy, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at SOFTSWISS, added:

“I am excited to take on this new challenge as SOFTSWISS moves from experimentation to execution. We’ve seen first-hand the impact AI can have when it is applied thoughtfully. As a C-level responsibility, our focus now is to make AI a trusted, governed and economically efficient capability — one that delivers measurable productivity gains for teams and improves how our global engineering organisation, including our partner development centres in Poland, builds and operates at scale.”

Establishing a dedicated C-suite role to champion AI adoption allows SOFTSWISS to implement consistent standards, clear accountability, and full visibility into how artificial intelligence is developed and applied across the organisation.
