73% of Latvians are satisfied with their current job, with 17% being very satisfied, and 56% rather satisfied, the Kantar research company has told LETA.
25% are not satisfied with their current employment – 4% not at all, 21% not very.
Those more likely to state positive views about their job included managers, senior professionals employees who earn EUR 1,501 per month or more, those working in finance and insurance, those who consider their workload to be acceptable, and employees who work in a “hybrid work” mode.
Job satisfaction is relatively lower among unskilled workers, workers with less than two years of experience at the company, as well as workers who think that their workload is excessive or insufficient.
Kantar says that overall job satisfaction has not changed much since last year – 73% of employees this year as against 72% in 2024 stated overall satisfaction with their job.
At the same time, however, the proportion of employees who found it hard to provide a specific assessment of their job satisfaction decreased significantly on the year.
There was an upward trend in the level of job satisfaction during the Covid-1 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, mostly at the expense of the percentage who were “very satisfied,” but there has been no statistically significant change in overall job satisfaction among employees since the survey that was conducted in 2019.
The study on various aspects of the work environment was carried out by the Kantar research and consulting company between April 15-22, 2025. 910 employees in Latvia were surveyed via the Internet.
