The highest average download speed among mobile operators in Latvia from July 2024 to July 2025 was recorded on the Tele2 network, while the fastest average upload speed was provided by Bite Latvija, according to representatives of the independent mobile network quality measurement service provider SpeedChecker, as reported to LETA.
According to SpeedChecker Insight data, during this period the average download speed in the Tele2 network was 104.18 megabits per second (Mbps), while the average upload speed reached 15.16 Mbps.
In the Bite Latvija network, the average download speed was 91.63 Mbps, while the average upload speed was 17.33 Mbps.
Latvijas Mobilais Telefons (LMT) provided an average download speed of 78.73 Mbps and an average upload speed of 11.57 Mbps during the same period.
SpeedChecker data also show that Tele2 led in 5G network performance, with an average download speed of 279.08 Mbps, followed by Bite Latvija with 233.37 Mbps and LMT with 160.47 Mbps.
For 5G upload speeds, Bite Latvija ranked first with 27.46 Mbps, ahead of Tele2 with 26.68 Mbps and LMT with 16.85 Mbps.
The results are based on SpeedChecker measurements collected from real user tests across Latvia.
