Tour operator Join UP! Baltic has expanded its operations by opening its second travel shop in Riga. It is located in Pārdaugava, on the first floor of the Olimpia shopping center.
This is the company’s fifth retail outlet in the Baltic States, where customers can receive professional travel advice and purchase trips to any of the 13 destinations offered by the tour operator. Aurimas Janušauskas, CEO of Join UP! Baltic explains that by expanding its network of travel stores, the tour operator is strengthening its presence and market position, reinforcing the loyalty of existing customers and attracting new travelers.
“Despite the availability of digital tools, part of travelers still prefer personal in-person consultations, which are an important factor in making travel decisions. Our observations show that personal contact with a consultant is the first step in travel planning for many customers – it creates trust, a sense of security, and helps them make confident decisions. And in the store, our customers receive advice not only on the most suitable destination or hotel, but also what landmarks to visit, which excursion to choose, what souvenirs to bring or even what to pack in their suitcase or how to choose the right clothing. People in the digital age do value this personal connection and return to our travel shops regularly,” explains Aurimas Janušauskas. “For some customers, it is simply more convenient to come to the store, where a consultant helps them choose a hotel, makes all the reservations, and all the travelers have to do is show up at the airport – everything else has already been taken care of.”
Every day from 10:00 to 21:00, two travel consultants will serve customers at the Join UP! store in the Olimpia shopping center, joining the existing team of 77 Join UP! Baltic employees in the Baltic States. The first Join UP! travel shop was opened a year ago in Riga, at the Domina Shopping mall. Three travel shops are open in Lithuania, in Vilnius, Kaunas, and Panevėžys. Join UP! Baltic plans to open a travel shop in Tallinn in the near future.
Join UP! Baltic provides a full range of travel booking channels to suit every traveler’s needs. Trips can be purchased through an extensive network of travel agents, the joinup.lv online store, as well as by e-mail or telephone, and in person at travel shops.
For one month after the opening, until November 16, anyone who visits Join UP! travel shop in the Olimpia shopping center will receive a 40 euro individual promo code, which can be added to their personal Join UP! online wallet and used for the purchase of their next trip.
