Flixbus to open 5 new bus routes this summer – including to Riga, Vilnius, Warsaw, Berlin

International bus operator Flixbus will open five new direct bus routes from Estonia to European cities this summer — in addition to the new connections from Tallinn, it will soon be possible to travel directly to Riga and Vilnius from Narva.

“The new bus routes are part of Flixbus’ strategy to make affordable and sustainable travel available to as many people as possible,” Flixbus business manager Kamila Zalewska said.

In July, Flixbus will launch new routes starting from Tallinn and Narva in the directions Tallinn-Riga, Tallinn-Riga-Vilnius, Tallinn-Warsaw-Berlin, Narva-Riga and Narva-Tartu-Riga-Vilnius.

Until now, Flixbus had no connection between Narva and Riga and Vilnius.

“With the new routes starting in Narva, we are expanding the travel options of the residents there, offering more comfortable and affordable ways to reach the Baltic capitals,” Zalewska said.

She added that the number of passengers departing from Tallinn and other Estonian cities is constantly increasing, which confirms that people increasingly value more affordable and sustainable travel alternatives.

“Furthermore, air connections to several European cities are non-existent or expensive for many. There are also those who avoid flying because of its large environmental footprint or have a fear of flying,” Zalewska said.

She added that due to the growing number of passengers, Flixbus has increased the number of buses serving the Baltics.

Flixbus already offers the opportunity to travel from Tallinn and Parnu to Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany without a transfer, while by transferring it is possible to move on from these destinations to most European cities.
