One of the three regular flights between Vilnius and Tel Aviv was resumed on Sunday night after the military conflict between Israel and Iran ended with a ceasefire, Lithuanian Airports (Lietuvos Oro Uostai, or LTOU), the national airport operator, reported on Monday.
“Israir Airlines has resumed regular flights between Vilnius and Tel Aviv. The first flight after the break departed from Vilnius Airport yesterday around midnight,” LTOU spokesperson Tadas Vasiliauskas said in a statement to BNS.
According to him, Ryanair and Wizz Air – both of which also operated on this route – have publicly announced plans to resume flights in the fall.
Due to the open conflict between Iran and Israel and the exchange of fire between the two countries, Wizz Air, Israir Airlines, and Ryanair suspended their flights between Vilnius and Tel Aviv in mid-June.
