The EuroBasket 2025, the 42nd edition of Europe’s premier men’s basketball championship, will take place from 27 August to 14 September 2025, co-hosted by Cyprus, Finland, Latvia, and Poland. The group-stage games are distributed across four cities – Limassol (Cyprus), Tampere (Finland), Riga (Latvia), and Katowice (Poland) – while the knockout phase, including the final, will be held in Riga’s Xiaomi Arena.
Estonia has successfully qualified for EuroBasket 2025 through the qualification process and will compete in Group A, scheduled to play their group-stage matches in Riga, Latvia. Group A consists of Estonia, the host nation Latvia, Czechia, Portugal, Serbia, and Turkey. The top four teams from this group will advance to the knockout rounds.
As one of the four co-hosts, Latvia automatically qualifies and will also compete in Group A in Riga. Alongside Estonia, Latvia will face the same opponents: Czechia, Portugal, Turkey, and Serbia. Additionally, Latvia holds the distinction of hosting the knockout stages and the championship final, enhancing its prominence in the tournament.
Lithuania has qualified via the standard qualification rounds and will compete in Group B, which will be hosted in Tampere, Finland. Group B comprises Finland (host), Germany, Great Britain, Lithuania, Montenegro, and Sweden. The top four teams from this group will move on to the knockout phase.
The Baltic states will be prominently represented at EuroBasket 2025, with Latvia hosting and competing in the group and knockout stages, while Estonia shares its group in Riga, and Lithuania battles in Tampere’s Group B. Together, they embody the region’s rich basketball heritage and contribute to a compelling tournament narrative across different venues. Their journeys will showcase Baltic talent on a continental stage, each with distinct challenges and opportunities.
