On March 30, the Latvian flag carrier airBaltic will add a second flight to Amsterdam to its flight schedule from Tallinn, thus creating excellent connections to North America, the UK, and Central and Southern Europe. This announcement came on Friday from the Tallinn Airport.
A new afternoon flight will offer access to a wide range of destinations from the Dutch airline KLM, which boasts a global network of partners. airBaltic partners with Air France, KLM and Delta, thus providing convenient connections from Tallinn and via Amsterdam.
“After a short layover, passengers can board flights to Boston, Salt Lake City, Atlanta, New York, Toronto and other cities in North America,” says Eero Pargmae, a board member of the state-owned AS Tallinna Lennujaam airport company. “There are also connections to cities in the UK such as Aberdeen, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Inverness, as well as the destinations in Central and Southern Europe including Bremen, Basel, Rome, Florence, Hanover, Lisbon, Madrid, Porto, Stuttgart and Valencia. These are some of the most popular destinations for Estonians.”
Pargmae adds that there have been lengthy discussions with airBaltic about adding the additional flights to Amsterdam. Estonians fly to more than 1,100 different destinations every year, which is why good connections at major hubs are crucial for locals and for foreign visitors, the board member explains.
