Norwegian Air Shuttle (Norwegian) has told the LETA news agency that it will launch nonstop flights from Riga to Burgas in Bulgaria during the coming summer season.
The airline will offer flights from Riga along nine different routes.
Norwegian says that tickets for the Riga-Burgas route will be available from Tuesday and that the flights will be offered on Saturdays from June until August. Flights will take two hours and 40 minutes.
Norwegian has been operating at the Riga International Airport since late 2005, and it opened a permanent hub in Riga in 2024. Norwegian also has an office in the city centre of Riga with some 160 employees who deal with customer service, accounting, procurement and other functions.
