Volotea now operates non-stop flights from Berlin Brandenburg Airport to Florence in Italy. This marks the first time the capital of Tuscany has been served by BER. The route is scheduled to depart from BER up to twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Volotea uses an Airbus A319 with 156 seats for the new route. The flight time from BER to Florence is just under two hours.
“Volotea is returning to BER and enriching the flight schedule with a popular European destination. Florence complements the existing flights and provides travellers from the capital region with another attractive travel option to Italy,” says Aletta von Massenbach, Chief Executive Officer of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH.
Flight schedule
The capital of Tuscany is regarded as the cradle of the Renaissance. Thanks to its Mediterranean climate, it is worth visiting all year round. It enjoys mild temperatures in spring and is particularly pleasant in autumn. The airline’s flight schedule has been optimised to reflect these travel periods. Volotea will, therefore, be flying to Florence this autumn, in September and October, during the Christmas period until early January, and from the end of March at the start of the summer flight schedule.
