Iceland’s low-cost airline Play will launch regular flights between Vilnius and Reykjavik from May, Lithuanian Transport Minister Marius Skuodis announced, adding that the flights will be operated once a week, on Saturdays.
“From now on, we will have even better opportunities to discover Iceland and each other. The airline also offers flights to the US and Canada with the possibility to spend up to 10 days in Iceland on the way to or from Europe,” the minister said in a Facebook post.
For the past several years, Play Airlines has had an office in Vilnius where some of the company’s administrative functions are carried out.
Currently, Hungary’s Wizz Air operates regular flights from Vilnius to the Icelandic capital.
