Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly being used in Estonian agriculture, helping farmers process data, analyze information, and manage daily operations more efficiently, according to Estonian public broadcaster ERR.

Airika Verrev, crop and livestock production manager and consultant at Pajo Ranch, says AI capabilities have improved significantly in recent months, making it possible to automate even complex Excel spreadsheet tasks.

She also uses AI for data analysis and identifying relevant legislation, while emphasizing that the information it provides must always be verified.

Marten Madissoo, assistant professor of agricultural engineering at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, confirms that using AI does not relieve farmers of their responsibility to critically evaluate its responses.

Meanwhile, autonomous agricultural robots and drones are becoming increasingly practical solutions, opening up new opportunities for automation and productivity improvements in the farming sector.
