The Insurtech company Balcia has expanded its Management Board with the appointment of Artur Senčenko, General Director of Balcia’s Lithuanian branch. In his new role, he will focus on driving innovations in insurance claims processes across the Balcia Group in Europe – a strategically important area that directly impacts customer trust, operational efficiency, and the company`s long-term competitiveness.

Balcia continues to grow, and expanding the Management Board is a natural and practical step in our development. It reflects our scale, international presence, and ambition to systematically strengthen key business areas. Artur has successfully led our Lithuanian operations and delivered strong results, so we are pleased that he is joining the management team to contribute his experience to the development of all Balcia companies across Europe,” says Jānis Lucaus, Chairman of the Balcia.

In his new position, Senčenko will oversee the development of the claims function across the entire Balcia Group, which currently operates in the three Baltic states, Poland, Germany, France, and Italy. His responsibilities will include the strategic improvement of group-wide claims settlement processes, coordination of cross-border initiatives, and the development and implementation of the Group’s innovation strategy in close cooperation with local teams. A key focus will be placed on automation initiatives aimed at accelerating claims handling, improving accuracy, and enhancing the customer experience.

A significant part of his role will also involve the development of digital channels, with particular emphasis on the claims experience within the mobile application. This will be carried out in collaboration with industry experts, AI startups, and other technology partners. One of the first innovations under Senčenko’s leadership is the introduction of a new authorization solution in the Polish version of the mobile app, designed to significantly improve the customer experience.

“This is an important professional step for me and a sign of trust. Balcia is a company with clear ambitions, a strong team, and the courage to implement change. In this role, I see an opportunity to build a more unified, efficient, and modern claims approach across the Group, while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience. I deeply value the trust of shareholders and colleagues and am motivated to turn this responsibility into sustainable results,” says Arturs Senčenko.

Senčenko`s appointment has been approved by Balcia’s shareholders, and formally approval confirmed by the Bank of Latvia. His mandate is now in effect, and Senčenko will continue to lead Balcia’s Lithuanian branch alongside his new responsibilities.

The current members of the Balcia Board – Chairman Jānis Lucaus, as well as Board Members Eleonora Zelmene, Ilgvars Girgensons and Laura Krastiņa – will continue to oversee their respective areas of responsibility, ensuring continuity and balanced development of the company.
