On Saturday, 29 November, the International Women’s Club of Tallinn (IWCT) will hold the 20th edition of the International Christmas Bazaar at the T1 Center in Tallinn. Embassies and representations of more than 20 countries, plus the international schools in Tallinn and local charities will attend the event, which is open for free to the public.
The proceeds of the Christmas Bazaar will be donated to charities supporting women and children. The event starts on the second floor (level 2) of T1 at 11:00 AM on 29th November and will go on until 4:00 PM.
The International Christmas Bazaar is a long-lasting tradition, featuring embassies, international communities, and charities. Represented are for example the embassies of Brazil, China, Japan, Portugal, Hungary, Brazil, Greece and many more, as well as representatives of Germany.
This year’s event features around 30 stalls, offering an array of culinary delights, beverages, and unique gifts from various cultures. This year’s edition attracts the highest number of vending partners since the pandemic.
The lineup includes the International School of Tallinn, International School of Estonia, as well as local charities, e.g. Warmth of Hearts, the Projects Peeteli, and SOS Lasteküla. English College and Tallinn European School are supporting the event with students entertaining children in the Kids’ Corner and serving at the Café, as well as taking care of correct refuse sorting.
The event’s music program will feature choirs from Tallinn European School and International School of Tallinn, as well as Irish choir Let’s Sing, supported by the Irish Duo O`Reel. Ukulele music will be played by Joosep Sang and the Latvian group Lasolla, while Amrita Dance Studio will perform a classic Indian dance. Children from the MTÜ Peeteli Kiriku Sotsiaalkeskus and Tähetorn Children”s Center will make a dance performance, as well as Irish Dance solist Vikkamaeve from Solas Irish Dance. Robert Hütti will entertain attendees with saxophone music.
Attendees can also participate in a raffle for a chance to win exciting prizes, and children can enjoy crafting activities. An IWCT Bazaar Café awaits you to have a break and enjoy the delights offered by the vendors as well as coffee and tea and popcorn for the little visitors. A Silent Auction will be held, featuring pieces of art, jewelry, beverages and gift cards for hotels, personal care and other purposes.
The IWCT, founded in 1993, has been actively contributing to the community through its annual International Christmas Bazaars. The focus is on supporting Estonian charities that aid women and children. In 2024, the International Christmas Bazaar raised over 32,000 euros, with embassies contributing more than half.
