Swiss International Airlines as announced that it will increase the number of flights between Lithuania and Zurich in 2025.
In April, May, September and October the airline will operate six flights a week, including daily flights during the summer months. This was reported on Tuesday by Lithuanian Airports (LTOU), which operates the country’s state-owned airport. The decision was made under an existing de minimis flight incentive mechanism, because Zurich is a destination that is strategically important for businesses and tourists alike.
“For almost three years now, Swiss Airlines has linked Vilnius not just to Switzerland, but also to the rest of Europe and the world thanks to an extensive network of connecting flights,” LTOU route development director Tomas Zitikis has said in a news release. The additional flights along this route will, I believe, further contribute toward improved accessibility in Lithuania, as well as ensure travel that is more convenient.”
Swiss International Airlines offered six weekly flights between Vilnius and Zurich during this past year’s summer season.
