According to LRT.lt, 29-year-old Benas Mikutavičius, suspected of killing two young women, was brought to Kaunas District Court on Sunday morning. The court approved the strictest preventive measure, ordering three months of detention, as authorities believe he could flee or interfere with the investigation if released.

During the hearing, Mikutavičius partially admitted guilt but remained largely silent. Judge Jolanta Ramonienė confirmed that the court granted the prosecutor’s request for detention to ensure the integrity of the process.
