Startup Estonia, in cooperation with county development centers, is launching a free expert counseling program across Estonia for startup entrepreneurs and people who are still looking for their business ideas — experts in various fields participating in the program will offer free counseling and help to those who want it.
The free expert counseling program is intended for startups already operating in Estonia as well as for teams and private individuals in the idea phase that have not been registered as a company yet.
Elina Dubova, regional startup ecosystem lead at Startup Estonia, said that starting this year, Startup Estonia will focus more on promoting the startup ecosystem across Estonia than before.
“Our goal is to support the growth and development of startups in Estonian counties, and in cooperation with the county development centers we have launched a free expert counseling program, in which we welcome both people who are still looking for their own business ideas as well as starting and already experienced startups who are looking for answers to their questions, solutions to specific problems or who seek reflection and an unbiased perspective,” Dubova said.
The goal of Startup Estonia and the county development centers is to bring more knowledge and expertise to Estonian regions and to improve the knowledge of existing and potential startups about the startup ecosystem and startup business in general. In total, 10 experts will offer more than 200 hours of free counseling on various topics within the framework of the program.
Expert advice is available on topics such as finding one’s idea and building a business model, sales and marketing, creating product development strategies, day-to-day management, as well as developing deep technology startups.
The experts’ services are free of charge, the costs are covered by Startup Estonia. For advice, those interested should contact the development center operating in their county or contact an expert participating in the program. The counseling service is offered both locally in the county and online, both individual and group counseling are conducted. Startups and teams in the idea phase located on Saaremaa island can receive advice from a selected expert over the internet or by phone.
Additional information about the program and the participating experts can be found on the Startup Estonia website. For each expert, it is indicated in which county and on which topics they advise, as well as the working languages of the counseling. The program will last and counseling services will be offered until November 2024.
