The international passenger carrier Lux Express has announced that it will offer bus trips between Riga and Panevezys as of Saturday, February 1, representatives of the carrier told the LETA news agency.
Rait Remmel directs the international route network of Lux Express, and he says that passengers from Latvia will now have the ability to travel not just to Vilnius and Kaunas, but also to Panevezys.
Panevezys will now be a stop along the Lux Press route from Riga to Vilnius and from Riga to Warsaw, the company says.
Buses to and from Panevezys will run six times a day, with travel time of approximately 2.5 hours.
Lux Express Latvia posted revenues of EUR 1.735 million in 2023, which was 73.4% more than in 2002. The company’s profit was EUR 8,497, as against a loss the year before.
