Green Energy, which is a renewable energy company in Lithuania that is owned by the Modus Group, has announced that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has tentatively approved an equity investment of as much as EUR 100 million.
“The transaction is subject to the approval of competition authorities in several countries, but after that, the EBRD will become a minority shareholder in Green Genius with a commitment of an investment of up to EUR 100 million in the company,” the Modus Group declared in a statement that was delivered to the NASDAQ Vilnius Stock Exchange on Thursday.
The statement added that the funds will be used for existing and new renewable energy projects in the Baltic States, Poland, Romania and elsewhere in Europe.
