Latvian rally driver Martins Sesks and co-driver Renars Francis on Sunday finished second overall in this year’s European Rally Championship.
In the season’s last, eighth event, Rally Hungary, Sesks placed third. Mads Ostberg of Norway was first and Ferenc Vincze second.
New Zealand’s Hayden Paddon with 163 points to his name had secured first place in the overall standings before Rally Hungary and did not take part in today’s event. Sesks closed the season in second place with 113 points, and Ostberg was third with 80 points.
