Latvian citizens will be able to vote at 38 voting stations abroad for EP elections

Latvian citizens will be able to vote at 38 polling stations located abroad during the European Parliament (EP) elections in June, according to information published in the official government gazette Latvijas Vestnesis.

The Central Election Commission received proposals from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Latvian diplomatic missions abroad where polling stations should be established.

The Central Election Commission has decided to establish a total of 38 polling stations in Latvian diplomatic missions abroad for the EP elections.

These will be located in the United Arab Emirates, the United States of America, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, France, Greece, Georgia, Estonia, India, Italy, Ireland, Estonia, France, Georgia, Greece, India, Ireland, Canada, China, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Uzbekistan and the United States.

In several countries, there will be polling stations in more than one city, following 12 proposals received from voters to set up a polling station abroad. This will be the case in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Norway and Germany.
