Congrats to all the winners of Estonian Startup Awards 2024!
It was a particularly tight year of heavy competition within 11 categories and between 90 nominees included in the final shortlist.
The brightest stars of Estonia’s startup scene were revealed as the winners of the Estonian Startup Awards 2024. The awards recognized the country’s top startups, founders, investors, and key contributors to the growth of the startup sector. The winners were selected across 11 categories from over 300 nominees, all submitted by members of the startup community.
As a proud supporter of the event, the City of Tallinn had the honor of presenting the GreenTech Award, which was awarded to Yaga. The award was handed over by Tallinn’s Deputy Mayor, Margot Roose.
Yaga, a platform for buying and selling second-hand fashion items, operates not only in Estonia but also in Africa. The company firmly believes in the future of fashion resale, benefiting sellers, buyers, and the environment. To date, Yaga has facilitated the sale of more than 4 million pre-loved items, preventing the purchase of an equal number of new products. As a market leader in Estonia and South Africa, Yaga recently expanded its operations to Kenya.

The nomination process took place in November 2024, with 311 nominees submitted. After a thorough evaluation, 91 candidates were shortlisted.
The Estonian Startup Awards 2024 was organized by the Estonian Founders Society and LIFT99 to honor the country’s top startups, investors, and activists. Their contributions have significantly advanced the startup ecosystem and economy, while also inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs.
