Estonian police warn of phishing scam posing as LHV bank communication

The Estonian police are warning about phishing emails that are designed to appear to be associated with LHV bank and its security services.

“A phishing email is currently circulating, using the name of LHV bank,” the police wrote on social media. “Do not click on the link in the email, as it will open a fake website designed to steal your bank account information and subsequently your money.”

The email is sent from a suspicious address, and the cyber criminals claim that the recipient’s security service is outdated but can be updated by clicking the link in the email. The police encourage deleting such emails as they are fraudulent.
