Today the British national airline British Airways returns to Riga to resume flights between Riga and London for the winter season, representatives of Riga Airport informed LETA.
According to the airport representatives, British Airways will operate flights to London Heathrow three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
British Airways once operated flights between London and Riga from 1997. They were discontinued in March 2007. The airline explained this decision by the fact that this route was not profitable.
Riga International Airport is the largest air traffic hub in the Baltic States.
