Baltic digital innovators and cybersecurity experts will take centre stage in Amstelveen on September 25, when decision-makers from across Europe gather at the conference, this year titled “Leading Forward in the Next Wave”. The event brings together economists, technology builders and business leaders from the Benelux and Baltic regions to explore how companies can remain resilient when uncertainty is the only constant.

“Leaders today cannot wait for stability – they have to learn how to turn change itself into an advantage,” says Jurga Baltram, founder of Benelux Baltics in Business (BBinB). “That is the spirit of this conference.”

Baltic voices in focus

The conference keynote speech will be delivered by Professor Rudy Aernoudt, one of Europe’s most respected voices on business strategy. Prof Aernoudt will also moderate the panel discussion – titled The Resilient Business Playbook – exploring how businesses can stay resilient in the digital age – from strengthening cyber preparedness to ensuring long-term adaptability. Among other topics, the panel discussion will look into the challenges surrounding European Tech Stack and dependence of US technologies.

The Resilient Business Playbook panel features:

  • Aidas Vagonis, Partner at Helmes (LIT), who works with global organizations to design resilient technology solutions.

  • Kristiina Omri, Vice President for Special Programs at CybExer Technologies (EST), focusing on how AI is reshaping security management.

  • Frank Breedijk, Chief Information Security Officer at Schuberg Philis (NL).

“For more than three decades, the Baltics have been at the forefront of building some of the world’s first digital societies. Each country brings its own experience and perspective – together, this creates a resilience that is essential for today’s rapidly changing world,” says Vagonis.

He notes that Helmes has strategically invested in cybersecurity for over 20 years: “We help organisations across Europe stay secure, innovative and competitive in the next wave of digital transformation. At the conference we are glad to share our experience together with top experts on the field.”

Building bridges

Over the past five years, BBinB has grown into a platform where Baltic and Benelux professionals exchange knowledge and form partnerships. More than twenty cross-regional projects have started here, many developing into long-term collaborations. “Experience shows that when the right people meet, projects follow,” says Baltram.

According to Vagonis, Benelux Baltics in Business (BBinB) helped Helmes connect with Euronics International, Europe’s largest independent electronics retailer. Helmes is now working with Euronics to improve supply chain management through AI, supported by the largest AI and data team in the Baltics. “For us, the event is about listening, building trust and establishing lasting partnerships.”

The Leading Forward in the Next Wave conference takes place on September 25 in Amstelveen. Registration is open.
