The tech giant Apple has purchased Pixelmator, which is an image editing app developed by two Lithuanian brothers – Aidas and Saulius Dailide. They refused to disclose the sum of the deal.
According to the Lithuanian Centre of Registers, Irish-registered Apple Distribution International acquired all of the shares in Pixelmator Team on February 11.
The Lithuanian company announced its plans to join the Apple team last November, adding that deal would not mean any major changes to the Pixelmator Pro, Pixelmator for iOS, and Photomator apps.
Pixelmator has once several Apple award already, including the 2023 App Store Award for its Photomator application.
Pixelmator represented a net profit of EUR 423,000 against revenues of EUR 1.99 million in 2023.
Apple posted EUR 391.04 billion in revenues and employed some 161,000 people in 2023.
