With this concert, the airport company, the Brandenburg Summer Concerts and the district of Dahme-Spreewald want to send a signal: for the region and for the special connection between the airport and its neighbouring communities.

“BER is an important part of our region and shapes the image of the district far beyond its borders. I am therefore all the more pleased that residents have the opportunity to experience this place in a completely different way. The Open Air concert combines culture, community and an exceptional setting, showing how diverse and vibrant our region is,” explains District Administrator Sven Herzberger.

Aletta von Massenbach, Chief Executive Officer of Berlin Brandenburg Airport: “We are very pleased that, together with the organiser and the district, we are turning BER and its unique architecture into the setting for a very special summer concert on 27 June, where people from the region can come together and experience culture.”

Wolfram Korr, Managing Director of the Brandenburg Summer Concerts: “In our anniversary season, we are offering something special: together with the Friede Springer Foundation, we are inviting people to an Open Air concert at BER Airport. The cooperation between cultural organisers, the airport and the district shows how closely infrastructure, quality of life and cultural participation are connected in the region.”

On the day of the event, visitors can look forward to a varied supporting programme from 3pm onwards. The concert “Tribute to Marlene Dietrich” begins at 7pm. Travel by public transport is convenient and recommended, as parking spaces are largely booked up during the peak travel season.
