The contract, worth more than PLN 20 million, covers the modernisation of the TG6 steam turbine operating within a combined-cycle power unit, together with its auxiliary equipment. The work will include key mechanical and hydraulic systems, the control and automation system, and electrical installations.
The entire modernisation will be individually designed by Proserv for the TG6 turbine, using Proserv products and solutions.
The agreed scope of work will include the preparation of design documentation, deliveries, installation, commissioning, testing and staff training. Once the work has been completed, PGE Energia Ciepła will be able to operate the turbine unit remotely, while its reliability and operational safety will also be improved. The control and protection systems will also be adapted to current technical standards and the requirements of the capacity market.

The planned modernisation of TG6 demonstrates how many different areas are now brought together within a single investment project. Mechanics, hydraulics, electrical systems, automation, control systems and cybersecurity must work together as one well-designed whole.
