The Ministry of the Economy and Innovation announces a second call for the digitalisation of public sector services, worth around €19 million. The first call already selected 55 projects from public authorities, state-owned companies and municipalities for €95 million.
“Moving away from paper-based procedures ensures that services are available to users much faster and easier. That is why we have set a target of at least 86% of modernised digital services by 2030. We encourage public institutions, authorities and businesses to implement projects to develop and modernise digital solutions, as this will help build the digital foundation of the public sector faster and more efficiently,” said Aušrinė Armonaitė, Minister of the Economy and Innovation.
A total of €115.26 million has been allocated for the development of digital solutions, to be distributed by the end of this year.
“It is important to implement the digital solutions that will bring the greatest benefits to the state and society as soon as possible, as they will facilitate the work of the public sector and ensure easy access for customers. Together, we can ensure a higher level of digitalisation of administrative and public services and their accessibility to the Lithuanian population,” said Erika Kuročkina, Deputy Minister of the Economy and Innovation.
State institutions and authorities, municipalities and state enterprises planning to implement projects for the development or modernisation of digital solutions can submit their applications to the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation by 28 November this year.
To strengthen the Lithuanian economy, the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation will announce measures totalling almost €1 billion by the end of 2023. Around €365 million is earmarked for business, innovation and investment, €320 million for the digitalisation of the state and business, and €268 million for a greener economy.
