Ukrainian President Zelensky arrives in Lithuania

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Lithuania on Wednesday.

His plane landed at Vilnius Airport at around 10.30 a.m. and he was met by Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis.

According to the Lithuanian presidential office, the Lithuanian and Ukrainian presidents will discuss the course of the war in Ukraine, support for Ukraine, and the country’s integration into the EU and NATO.

The two leaders will address the people of Lithuania at Daukanto Square, and will also visit the Ukrainian center established on the initiative of the First Ladies of Lithuania and Ukraine, where they will meet with Ukrainian war refugees living in Lithuania.

This is Zelensky’s fourth visit to Lithuania. The last time he was in Vilnius was in July 2023 when he attended the NATO summit.

Ukraine calls Vilnius one of its biggest supporters in its fight against the Russian invasion that has been taking place for almost two years.

Lithuania actively supports Ukraine’s EU and NATO membership. In terms of economic size, Lithuania is one of the largest contributors of military aid to Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Zelensky to visit Latvia this week

An official welcoming ceremony will be held at Riga Castle at 4:15 pm, which will be followed by a meeting between the delegations of Zelensky and Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics. A joint press conference will follow the meeting.

Later, Zelensky will meet with Prime Minister Evika Silina (New Unity) and Saeima Speaker Daiga Mierina (Greens/Farmers).

Volodymyr Zelenskyy to visit Estonia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be visiting Estonia in the coming days, meeting with President Alar Karis, speaker of the Riigikogu Lauri Hussar and Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, and delivering a speech in the Riigikogu.

The meetings will discuss how to further counter Russia’s war of aggression and the long-term, sustained and effective support to Ukraine that this requires, the office of the president of Estonia said in a press release on Wednesday.

“Democratic countries have done a lot to help Ukraine, but we need to do more together to ensure that Ukraine wins and the aggressor loses. Then there is hope that this will be the last military aggression in Europe, where someone wants to dictate to their neighbor with missiles, drones and artillery what political choices they can make,” Estonian President Alar Karis said.

After the meeting of the presidents, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Alar Karis will make press statements and hold a press conference.
