US electric car giant Tesla is expanding its presence in Lithuania and the Baltic states by launching permanent services and opening its first sales and service center, following the introduction of a pop-up store in Lithuania in September last year.
“Tesla has begun delivering the first vehicles to customers in Lithuania. (…) Customers are now taking delivery of their vehicles at our new location in Vilnius. This is our first Tesla Center in the region, featuring Service, Delivery, and a showroom under one roof to provide the best customer experience,” the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The new center will make it easier for Tesla owners to schedule maintenance and track repairs for their electric cars.
Located in Traku Vokė, near Vilnius, the Tesla Center marks a significant step in the company’s expansion in the region.
BNS previously reported that Tesla’s Dutch subsidiary, Tesla International, established a company in Vilnius in August last year.
In February 2020, Tesla representatives visited Vilnius, and BNS sources at the time indicated that Tesla was exploring opportunities to develop a network of electric car charging stations in Lithuania and was searching for a suitable location for a showroom.
