14 percent of people in Latvia are planning to spend between EUR 501 and EUR 1,000 on travel abroad or within the country this year, according to a survey commissioned by financial services provider IPF Digital Latvia.
Meanwhile, 13 percent of respondents plan to spend between EUR 1,001 and EUR 2,000 on travel, and 12 percent plan to spend more than EUR 2,000.
The survey also found that 3 percent of the population plan to spend up to EUR 100 on their holidays, 4 percent plan to spend between EUR 101 and EUR 200, 3 percent up to EUR 300, 5 percent between EUR 301 and EUR 400, and 6 percent between EUR 401 and EUR 500.
People aged 40 – 49 are the most likely to have a larger travel budget. In this age group, 19 percent of respondents indicated they plan to spend more than EUR 2,000 on travel, while 17 percent expect to spend between EUR 501 and EUR 1,000. In the 50 – 59 age group, 16 percent plan to spend between EUR 501 and EUR 1,000, and 15 percent of respondents aged 18 – 29 expect to spend the same amount.
At the same time, the survey shows that 12 percent of people do not travel during holidays, while another 12 percent say they do not go on vacation at all or are currently not working. Meanwhile, 16 percent of respondents have not yet decided or do not know whether they will travel this year or what budget they will need.
The survey was commissioned by IPF Digital Latvia and conducted by market research company Norstat Latvija in June 2025, with more than 1,000 people surveyed across Latvia.
