British Airways cancelled flights between Riga and Heathrow Airport in London on Friday, according to information at the Riga Airport. The problem is a power outage caused by a fire which led Heathrow to be closed.
A flight from Heathrow was due to arrive at 12:20 PM and to depart back to London at 1:10 PM, but it has been cancelled.
Thousands of Londoners lost power and some 150 people were evacuated when an electricity substation transformer in west London caught fire. Emergency services were called to the scene before midnight on Thursday. It is not yet known what caused the blaze.
British Airways operates daily flights between Riga and Heathrow.
