A police manhunt is underway for a woman who is believed to have left her home with her newborn baby, which later was found dead in an abandoned vehicle, the State Police inform.
The woman, named Anna Jansone (born 1989), left her home in Riga at 9:00 am on November 1 with her baby.
A search was then launched for the woman by police. However, on November 2, an abandoned Toyota Corolla vehicle was found in a forest with the body of the woman’s baby daughter inside.
The woman had rented the vehicle from the Bolt service.
A police manhunt has been launched to find the woman, with the National Guard and volunteer organizations also involved.
A criminal process has also been launched.
