The State Revenue Service (SRS) annually presents awards to Latvia’s largest taxpayers – companies whose responsible, sustainable, and fair business practices make a significant contribution to the country’s economic development. Today, on May 22, 2026, the awards for the largest taxpayers were presented for the 28th time.

During the official ceremony, “Taxpayer of the Year Award 2025,” Director General of the State Revenue Service Baiba Šmite-Roķe presented awards and certificates of recognition, honouring entrepreneurs across all regions of Latvia in the large, medium-sized, and small business categories, while also expressing appreciation to the country’s most significant exporter and the most responsive SRS cooperation partner.

Addressing those in attendance, Minister of Finance Arvils Ašeradens said: “The state provides more than 1,000 different services used by every resident of Latvia – ranging from security and education to modern infrastructure. This is made possible thanks to companies that pay taxes. Your responsibility and work are the driving force behind the growth of the national economy.”

Director General of the SRS Baiba Šmite-Roķe commented: “The key to the success of every strong company is its people – their work, courage, perseverance, and ability to grow. The Large Taxpayer Award is our opportunity to thank entrepreneurs whose contribution helps build a strong and prosperous Latvia.”
