Expanding its popular resort vacation offerings, Join UP! Baltic for the first time is now offering trips to a new holiday destination in Egypt: the El Alamein resort, with direct flights from Vilnius, Palanga, Riga and Tallinn. The historic inaugural flight from Vilnius, Palanga, Tallinn and Riga airports to this Mediterranean coastal resort is expected in the beginning of April 2026.

Tours with weekly charter flights to El Alamein will be available until the end of May, as well as again in the fall – from September to the end of October.

Egypt remains one of the top vacation destinations across all three Baltic states, with over 60,000 people traveling there with Join UP! Baltic annually.

“By expanding our resort portfolio with a third Egyptian destination – El Alamein – Join UP! Baltic offers travelers the chance to experience something new in a familiar destination. El Alamein provides an opportunity to see Egypt in a different light – with a Mediterranean atmosphere, modern resort infrastructure, unique regional historical heritage and a glimpse into the ambitious and modern development of Egypt’s northern coast,” says Aurimas Janušauskas, CEO of Join UP! Baltic.

The city is located just 250 km from the capital, Cairo, with its famous Giza pyramids, and 120 km from Egypt’s second-largest city, Alexandria – a historic Mediterranean coastal city rich in cultural landmarks. The convenient location allows travelers to explore the Northern region’s cultural and historical heritage more quickly and comfortably, while also enjoying a peaceful seaside vacation.

El Alamein is a rapidly growing resort with modern hotels, wide white sand beaches, and crystal-clear waters, offering a generally more tranquil atmosphere than traditional Red Sea resorts. Nearby, since 2018, Egypt is building a future urban area – New El Alamein – an ambitious project to transform Egypt’s northern coast into a modern tourism and cultural hub with stylish hotels, upscale restaurants, and wellness complexes. A symbol of this modern development is the El Alamein Towers, among the tallest skyscrapers in the country. New El Alamein has already gained international recognition, being named the Arab Resort Capital in 2025, reflecting the city’s rapid growth.

Join UP! Baltic is one of the largest tour operators in the Baltic States. In 2024, its turnover reached €82.4 million. The company organised travel for over 100,000 clients across the Baltic States and employs 75 local tourism professionals in offices and travel shops located in Vilnius, Panevezys, Kaunas, Riga and Tallinn. Currently, the tour operator offers trips to 15 destinations with direct flights from Vilnius, Riga, Tallinn, and Palanga.

Internationally, Join UP!™ operates in Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Moldova, and Ukraine, with Slovakia and Hungary soon to follow.
