An office of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce could be established in Vilnius, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis said at a meeting with Abdullah Bin Touq, minister of economy of the United Arab Emirates, in Davos.
“Bilateral relations between Lithuania and the UAE have been getting stronger over the past years. Direct flights from Dubai to Vilnius are a meaningful continuation of diplomatic cooperation, but there is still room to expand our cooperation. The establishment of an office of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in Vilnius would make a significant contribution to the further development of economic relations,” Landsbergis said in a statement.
He also invited the UAE economy minister to visit Lithuania with a business delegation.
Lithuania’s exports to the UAE amounted to 163 million euros in 2022, and advanced high-tech engineering goods made most of them. Exports of Lithuanian goods jumped 2.4 times. The UAE’s investments in Lithuania amounted to almost 100 million euros.
