An Estonian player won EUR 695,112 in Friday’s nights Eurojackpot drawing with a ticket that had a 5+1 match.
The winning ticket was purchased online. There were three winners with 5+1 matches on Friday, the others coming from Sweden and Germany. They also won around EUR 700,000. The projected jackpot for next Tuesday’s Eurojackpot draw is EUR 59 million.
This was the seventh major Eurojackpot win in Estonia this year. Previously there have been two 5+1 match wins and four 5+0 match wins. Particularly successful were players this past spring, with two of them winning approximately EUR 110,000 in a draw on April 19, while sums of EUR 127,000, EUR 657,000 and EUR 161,000 were bagged once every few weeks in May.
Estonia’s state-owned lottery company Eesti Loto paid EUR 15 million euros in gambling taxes during the first nine months of this year. Lottery winners received some EUR 31.6 million during the same period.
