Next week, on September 25–26, the Association of Business Service Leaders (ABSL) Forum “Create and Secure the Future – Now!” will take place in Riga, the organizers of the forum informed LETA.

The event will bring together global business leaders, experts, policymakers, and innovators to discuss emerging trends and develop strategies for sustainable business growth in Europe and beyond.

The forum will be opened by ABSL Chairman Jacek Levernes and Riga Mayor Viesturs Kleinbergs (Progressives).

The opening will be followed by a discussion titled “Voice of Power: Expect the Unexpected. How to Lead and Strengthen Decision-Making in Times of Uncertainty.” Participants will include retired Admiral Rob Bauer, former Chairman of the NATO Military Committee (2021–2025); Jacek Siewiera, Head of the Polish National Security Bureau (2022–2025); and Olivier Girard, Chairman of the Board of Accenture France, who will share their insights and experiences.

The program also features the presentation of ABSL’s European study “Driving Business Efficiency and Competitiveness Through the Business Services Industry.”

The ABSL Forum is held annually in different European cities, including Berlin in 2023 and Porto, Portugal, in 2024.

Fredis Bikovs, Director of the Riga Information and Tourism Agency (RITA), emphasized that hosting the Forum highlights RITA’s contribution to the business services sector over the past three years, demonstrating both its success in attracting new investors and its capacity to organize international events of this scale. According to Bikovs, such events foster cooperation with international investors while also ensuring an influx of tourists outside the peak season.

The two-day program includes plenary sessions, panel discussions, and private meetings for special guests, focusing on opportunities and challenges in three thematic areas: Talent, Technology, and Transformation. Each discussion will be preceded by keynote addresses from international experts offering insights into the geopolitical landscape and its impact on global business dynamics.

The Forum will also be attended by a number of Latvian and international companies operating in Latvia, including SEB Global Services, Swedbank Latvia, Tietoevry, Circle K Business Centre, Accenture Latvia, Atea Global Services, and others.

The Association of Business Service Leaders (ABSL) unites European companies in the business services sector.
