23-y-o man who died at Tallinn Prison identified as former content creator

Officials of Tallinn Prison found a 23-year-old man dead in his cell early Saturday morning, who, according to the Delfi news portal, is former content creator and YouTuber Sem Karlos Kolk, the Estonian daily Postimees reports.

The body was found in a locked cell of the detainees’ living department, where another inmate was placed in addition to the deceased. The men had been in the same cell together since the beginning of June.

The deceased had been arrested for a drug-related offense and had been previously convicted.

Tallinn Prison launched criminal proceedings to find out the circumstances of the cause of death according to the section of the Penal Code dealing with manslaughter. The criminal proceedings are being led by the North District Prosecutor’s Office.

Online news site Elu24 reported in January that during a search of Kolk’s residence, 291 grams of plant material was found, which responded positively to a rapid cannabis test. In addition, 10 tablets containing the narcotic substance MDMA were found at his residence.
