Price of electricity nears €400 Monday evening

Electricity prices in Estonia are expected to rise sharply on Monday evening, with the Nord Pool price reaching €385 per megawatt-hour at around 10 p.m.

The average daily price in Estonia’s bidding area is close to €134 per megawatt-hour, while Latvia and Lithuania are expected to average nearly €145 per megawatt-hour. Finland will see a lower average price of approximately €119 per megawatt-hour, with its evening peak reaching €254 per megawatt-hour.

According to Estonian Public Broadcasting (ERR), the highest electricity price will be the same across all three Baltic states.
