ERR reports that Estonia is holding talks with France about joining its enhanced nuclear deterrence initiative.
Prime Minister Kristen Michal said participation would require specific capabilities and readiness.
He noted that Estonia is already protected by NATO’s nuclear umbrella. France also contributes to Estonia’s security by stationing troops in the country.
French Ambassador Alexandre Escorcia confirmed that discussions with Estonia on nuclear deterrence and broader defence cooperation are progressing.
